Feu de Dieu from Vignobles Vellas hails from the Languedoc in Southern France and immediately exudes character. From the deep red metallic bottle to the intense style of the wine itself. This is a wine that pairs perfectly with richer dishes, grilled meats, or moments when you crave something fuller and more powerful.
Behind the wine is Vignobles Vellas, a family-owned estate that has been active near Montpellier since 1929. What once began with 13 hectares of vineyard grew under the leadership of Nicolas Vellas into an impressive wine company with approximately 350 hectares spread across various appellations in the Languedoc and Rhône. The estate is known for its modern vision, striking labels, and strong focus on terroir and quality. Moreover, many of their vineyards are farmed organically.
The warm South French influences result in ripe and expressive wines with great character, while the modern look of the bottle perfectly matches the name: Feu de Dieu — literally “fire of God.” A wine that will not go unnoticed, both on the table and in the glass.
